YD41 Series Gas Sealed Circular Connectors
Features and Advantages
1. A key feature is the use of advanced sealing technologies. The receptacle combines a glass-to-metal sealing process with a solder packaging process, creating a hermetic, gas-tight barrier that prevents moisture ingress and ensures excellent dielectric strength.
2. The shell is constructed from nickel-plated brass, offering superior corrosion resistance and durability.
3. Electrical performance is ensured through high-quality contact parts: a ferroalloy (pin) and a copper alloy (hole), both gold-plated for low contact resistance, anti-corrosion, and stable conductivity.
4. The insulator uses sealing glass and thermoplastic, providing excellent insulation and structural integrity.
5. The connection method is a threaded locking mechanism for a secure, vibration-resistant mate, while wiring is completed via welding for a permanent, high-current-capable termination. An integrated designed cable sheath structure provides proven waterproof and dust-proof (typically IP68-rated) functions, a critical advantage for outdoor deployment.
Application
These connectors are essential for high-reliability circuit connections in medium and high-voltage power systems. Their primary applications include:
● Primary Power Distribution: Permanent connections within air-insulated or gas-insulated ring main units (RMUs) and column-mounted circuit breakers in substations.
● High-Voltage Equipment: Interfaces for vacuum circuit breakers, load break switches, and transformer bushings.
● Power System Instrumentation: Connecting protection relays, fault indicators, and smart grid sensors to the primary circuit.
● Renewable Energy: Interconnections in wind turbine converters and solar farm combiner boxes where high voltage and environmental sealing are required.
